Allergy Test Procedure
During an allergy test, we will gently apply an allergen to the skin on your arm or back. We use a plastic device that creates no discomfort to apply the allergen. We do not use any shots or needles to perform an allergy test.
If you are allergic to a particular allergen, the skin where we placed the allergen will become red, itchy, or raised. An allergy test performed by Dr. Langford is quick and simple. It takes five minutes for the allergen to be placed on your skin, 15 minutes for results to appear, and five minutes to determine which allergen is affecting you.
